The actress is opening up about a TV show she auditioned for “1,000 times,” but never booked. Keep reading to find out more… Katie wanted to be cast on Glee, but never landed a role, she said on the re-watch podcast And That’s What Your Really Missed with former cast members Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz. “I auditioned for Glee, like, only 1,000 times and never got cast,” she said. “I do remember singing Lisa Loeb, though.
I sang ‘Stay’ for something.” They also talked about a time when the Glee cast visited the set of Scandal. “I’m bitter,” Kevin said. “I got called in to do something — maybe I had to record — and I couldn’t go.
And it was one of those moments where I’m like, ‘I’m very lucky to be employed. I’m happy I get to go sing.’” Katie said it was rare for guests to be on the Scandal set because producers were afraid of leaks. Jenna revealed it was much different on the Glee set. “We had a lot of guests,” she said. “It was from execs to…competition winners to family to friends.
