Police searching for the British teenager Jay Slater have found a different missing person as the search for the 19-year-old enters its second week.
A Scottish walker was saved by Spanish police while they were searching for Jay, from Oswaldtwistle in Lancashire, who has been missing since last Monday (June 17).
The 51-year-old had got lost in Tenerife's Rural de Teno National Park, which is also where Jay was last seen. According to The Daily Mail, the unnamed hiker was discovered by officers in the Asomada Canyon on Friday during their hunt for the young apprentice bricklayer.
The man was described as "tired and disorientated" upon his discovery, Wales Online reports.
