Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to make their first trip to the UK together since 2022. It comes after it was revealed that Birmingham will be the new host of the Invictus Games.The city is set to welcome the international sporting event in 2027, with an official announcement taking place at a special ceremony today (Tuesday, 23 July).
Although the Duke and Duchess of Sussex won't be present at this ceremony, it's anticipated they'll make their way back to British soil for the games in three years' time.
Harry couldn't contain his excitement about the news, expressing his congratulations: "Congratulations to Birmingham, UK, on winning the bid to host the Invictus Games 2027," he enthused.
He praised the city's connection to the military community: "Your city's strong ties to the armed forces community made it a formidable contender from the very start.
