Forgotten Manchester United loanee Andy Kellett has signed for Bury. Now 29, the versatile wideman has joined up with Andy Welsh's squad.

The Shakers were expelled from the English Football League in 2019 after a period of financial turmoil, but the club are now starting out again in the North West Counties Premier Division - the ninth tier of the English pyramid.

Back on deadline day in 2015, Kellett's arrival at United came as a huge surprise to supporters. The Bolton Wanderers academy graduate joined United temporarily to play for the Under-21s after the Trotters had swooped in for United defender Saidy Janko. Exclusive: United list two players as must-sells Kellett made nine appearances for United's youth team and won the U21 Premier League title, playing with the likes of Adnan Januzaj, Andreas Pereira and Ashley Fletcher.

Kellett makes the move to Bury after three years with Guiseley, with injuries having disrupted his last two seasons. His most recent campaign saw Kellett score two goals in 14 appearances.
