Police seized fireworks worth £10,000 following a raid ahead of Bonfire Night. Officers from Police Scotland targeted the premises in Wishaw as part of a joint operation with North Lanarkshire's Trading Standards.A man was arrested and will be reported to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service.The haul, which included Flying Pigs Rockets, Silly Cow Rockets, Total Wipeout Rockets and Battle of Midway fireworks, was so big it filled the boots of five cars.

Pictures show nine officers posing next to vehicles full of boxes containing the fireworks.A post on the Lanarkshire Police Division Facebook Page read: "Officers from Motherwell Community Team supporting North Lanarkshire Trading Standards officers attended at a premises in Wishaw."They seized approximately £10,000 of illegally stored fireworks which had been advertised for sale.

One male has been arrested and a report is being sent to the Procurator Fiscal."If you are going to enjoy bonfire night tonight, please do so responsibly and safely.
