Three major UK airlines have warned UK holidaymakers with trips planned to Turkey that they can't use mobile boarding passes on certain flights back from the destination.Ryanair, easyJet and Jet2 have all said that some travellers will need to arrive at the airport with a printed form of the document.
When returning from certain Turkish travel hubs, passengers will also need to go to their airline's check-in desk to obtain their boarding pass, regardless if they have to check any luggage.In addition, Ryanair also can not accept virtual boarding passes from those flying in from Morocco, the Express reports.
An airline spokesperson said: “We accept mobile boarding passes from the majority of airports on our network."However unfortunately some airports cannot accept mobile boarding passes yet, these airports are Turkey and Morocco.”In addition, easyJet said that due to “local regulations” at Antalya Airport in Turkey, mobile boarding passes were not available.
A spokesperson for the budget airline said: “You will need to print your boarding pass and go to Bag Drop for a document check, even if you don’t have bags to drop off.”Jet2 said: “We can’t offer online check-in for flights departing from Turkey.
