‘Rust’ gets a premiere date — 3 years after tragedy struck set — but will Alec Baldwin be there?

announced Thursday that the premiere will honor Hutchins, who was 42 years old when she died. After the screening of the film, director Joel Souza, cinematographer Bianca Cline and Stephen Lighthill, Halyna’s mentor at the American Film Institute, will participate in a panel to “discuss events surrounding the film, offering insight into continuing production after Halyna’s death.”The panel will also discuss “the unique visual style that Halyna developed on set and explain how Bianca Cline, who took over her work, managed to remarkably replicate Halyna’s style.”Festival director Marek Zydowiczsaid in a statement, “We knew that our event was important to her, and that she felt at home among cinematographers from all over the world, who have been gathering at Camerimage for over 30 years.

During the festival, we honoured Halyna’s memory with a moment of silence and a panel of cinematographers discussed safety on set.

Now, once again, together with cinematographers and film enthusiasts, we will have this special opportunity to remember her.”According to the Hollywood Reporter, Baldwin, 66, will not attend the premiere, despite being the lead actor and a producer on the project.The Post has reached out to Baldwin’s rep for comment.In October 2021, Baldwin fired a real gun mistakenly loaded with a live round on the set of “Rust” in New Mexico, killing Hutchins and wounding Souza, 51.The movie’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to 18 months in prison.Baldwin, meanwhile, was charged with involuntary manslaughter.The “30 Rock” actor maintained that he never pulled the trigger of the prop gun.
