Residents 'living in fear' at £9m Scots flats 'finding needles covered in blood'

A resident of new £9 million Scots flats has told how they are 'living in fear' after finding 'bloody needles' outside her home.

Danya Mackenzie says her Glasgow new-build are riddled with anti-social behaviour and incidents of drug-use. The 32-year-old claims the Watson Street flats in Trongate were also used as a toilet by Celtic fans during their wild title-party celebrations last week.

The housing association flats - which only opened two years ago - have become an easy target for users due a broken secure entry door, Glasgow Live reports.Danya hit out at housing association Lowther Homes for their lack of action, also revealing there is evidence of fires being lit.

She said: "I moved into the building 18 months ago and the problems have been near-constant since then."Residents are finding used and bloody needles in and outside the building, there is evidence of fires being lit, people using the building as a toilet.
