The Swiss dominated a first half that saw the Hungarians barely string any passes together, which will have given a watching Steve Clarke some comfort after his side suffered a chasing against the hosts the previous evening.However, Rossi's side improved after the break and the game was only over when Brees Embolo restored his team's two-goal advantage in stoppage time.
Scotland take on Switzerland on Wednesday night and a result will keep qualification hopes alive heading in to Sunday's showdown with Hungary.
The Magyars then face Germany in the Wednesday 5pm kick-off and know that defeat will see them eliminated. But far from rallying the troops, Italian coach Rossi seems to have thrown in the towel after watching his side's first half display against Murat Yakin's men."We play Germany in four days.
