Rachel Lindsay Says Her Divorce From Bryan Abasolo is 'Unnecessarily Messy,' That They Don't Have a Prenup
justjared.comRachel Lindsay opened up about her divorce from Bryan Abasolo during a recent interview, saying that it’s been “unnecessarily messy.” The Bachelor Nation couple met on the set of The Bachelorette in 2017 and exchanged vows in 2019.
Earlier this year, Bryan filed for divorce. While on the Hidden Gems with Natasha Parker podcast, Rachel provided an update and explained why the couple doesn’t have a prenuptial agreement. Keep reading to find out more… Rachel said that people are shocked to learn that the couple did not sign a prenup since she is a lawyer. “The reason I didn’t is because the place I’m in now is… you know financially, however you want to define it… is totally different than when I got married,” she explained. “We were more leveled, and I wasn’t in California.
If I had got married in California, I know California’s wild so you know it’s not in my favor all the time.” She continued, saying, “It was just a different time and so I wasn’t leading with that.
And we weren’t on the same page with prenups and so I just didn’t want it to be like a bigger issue. So we don’t have one and you know hindsight’s 20/20.” Although the divorce is “unnecessarily messy” right now, Rachel said that it would be a happy ending. “It is a happy ending in the sense that I’m doing what’s best for me,” she said. “Right now as I’m going through it, no it’s not happy.
