After garnering a Drama Desk Award nomination for her critically acclaimed one woman stage show Death, Let Me Do My Show, Rachel Bloom has announced that it’s being taped as a special for Netflix, to debut in early fall.

Currently on the main stage of the Williamstown Theater Festival, running through July 14th, as a Rotten Science production directed by Seth Barrish, Death, Let Me Do My Show‘s July 12 and 13 performances are being taped for the special.

The show is described as a one-woman musical comedy that is definitely NOT about the ever-present specter of death. It’s filled with raunchy and escapist material that will in NO way explore the pandemic and all the tumultuous events that ensued in her personal life.

Recently, Bloom also performed the show at the Netflix Is a Joke Festival, which took place across Los Angeles in early May.
