The 76-year-old royal is said to be taking a break from her duties and flying off for a sunshine-filled vacation tomorrow, according to insiders.Last week, Camilla was the last key royal standing - even as Prince Andrew made a return to public life at a Windsor event.
Royal expert Ingrid Seward commented: "This will raise the question of who's in charge at such a vital time and with so many key royals out of action."The Queen's holiday follows a challenging week for the royals, who had to manage without the King while also dealing with his cancer diagnosis and wild conspiracy theories about William and Kate.
The princess, aged 42, has not been seen in public since Christmas Day and is still recovering from abdominal surgery that took place in January.It has been reported that Prince William had to miss the Windsor tribute to his godfather, Greece's late King Constantine, on Tuesday due to a "personal matter".
This left Camilla to handle 13 official engagements since last month, while also keeping up with her own schedule and attending events alone where she was expected to be with her husband.
