The proud daughter of a late Uddingston composer is ‘delighted’ after her father’s 40-year-old song about the Glasgow subway has made a comeback.On the Underground, written by the great Scottish composer Harry Barry, celebrated the launch of the city’s ultra-modern Clockwork Orange on TV and radio in 1980.Now the cheery ditty is back centre stage in a social media campaign as Strathclyde Partnership for Transport bids farewell to the old fleet and welcomes the new.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
