Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are said to be feeling snubbed by King Charles as they have not been asked to step in for many royal engagements, despite the family being incredibly short-staffed as the monarch and the Princess Of Wales have been out of action. The King's cancer diagnosis has left him out of action for work since Christmas, while his daughter-in-law's abdominal surgery and subsequent cancer announcement has also left her unable to carry out engagements.

With Prince William taking a step back to support his wife, the York sisters are reportedly wondering why they haven't been asked to help out the very slimmed-down monarchy. "They are very upset to have been ignored by the king as they feel they have a lot to offer, but they’re not surprised. They are sanguine about it," a friend of the sisters told the Daily Beast this week.

They added: “It seems mean that the girls aren’t being used at all when they have made it clear they want to be of service, especially when Prince Andrew has been accepted back into the fold. They have done nothing wrong and they shouldn’t be visited with the sins of their father." It comes as Eugenie and Beatrice's father, Prince Andrew, is set to join the family at the Easter church service this Sunday (31 March), despite no longer being a working royal.

Back in 2022, Andrew, also known as the Duke of York, was stripped of both his royal and military titles by the late Queen Elizabeth II while he was being accused of sexual assault in a lawsuit by campaigner Virginia Giuffre and scrutinised for his friendship with disgraced businessman and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
