He then underwent officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother Prince William, and he completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–13 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

Prince Harry and Meghan ‘in talks for feature-length movie on royal life for Netflix’

If you thought Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had spilled everything there is to say about royal life, think again - the pair are said to be in talks for yet another tell-all feature, this time as a Netflix movie.

They've already given a revealing look at their version of events of life inside the palace in their Netflix documentary series, Harry & Meghan, released in December, but they are now said to be keen for a repeat performance The new venture is likely to focus on their experience of living inside the palace and was reportedly inspired by Netflix's announcement that it's developing a film around Prince Andrew’s infamous car crash BBC interview with journalist Emily Maitlis.

Entitled Scoop, it is set to star Rufus Sewell as the Duke of York and Gillian Anderson as Emily while Billie Piper and Keeley Hawes have also been confirmed to appear.

According to a source who spoke to Closer, Harry and Meghan are said to be keeping a keen eye on how Scoop is received before making a decision on whether to press ahead with a feature-length film of their experiences and events that lead to them stepping back from royal duties and moving to California.The source claimed that the couple feel they have a "big screen story to tell about what happened in the palace" and are said to be keen to work with streaming giant Netflix again after the popularity of their six-part documentary. "There are a lot of nuances from their story that they feel are still missing after the documentary and Harry’s book," added the source. "There is no doubt they would get a handsome payday for it, which is hugely tempting.
