Prime crates hit Spar shops as customers flock to buy popular drink

Ayrshire Spar shops have been flogging a surprise stash of energy drink Prime.The sought-after bottles of the viral hydration drink sold out in hours after customers raced to stores across the region.Ayrshire Live understands that Spar shops in Ayr's Forehill, Hillfoot and Kincaidston and Spar in Troon all received cases of blue raspberry and tropical punch flavours in their morning delivery.Some shops kept their stash behind the till as a strict two per customer rule was applied.And the shops kept their prices down, with one bottle setting customers back £2.

A shop worker at Hillfoot Spar in Ayr told Ayrshire Live: "We sold out in just four hours."We got eight cases of the blue and eight cases of the red and every bottle has gone."We made sure it was only two bottles per customer just to make it fair.
