Practice makes perfect as dedicated young Shotts street dancers storm to world title

A team of young Lanarkshire dancers were on cloud nine after storming to the ultimate prize of a world title.L School of Dance (LSOD) who have their studio based in the heart of Shotts, took 72 dancers down to Blackpool to compete in the United Dance Organisation (UDO) World Street Dance Championships at the Winter Gardens.More than 330 teams representing over 40 countries across the globe were taking part in the prestigious UDO annual event in England.The Shotts dance school formed in 2002 and have been attending the competition for the last 10 years.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

The four other teams had to dance again on the Saturday for another chance at securing a space in the Sunday finals.The under-10s group Remix, were also announced and booked themselves a place in the finals.
