Mike Parsons is accused of accessing the LinkedIn profile of Caroline Muirhead while she was helping his colleagues investigate those responsible for the disappearance of father Tony Parsons.Her details were supposed to have been kept confidential after she passed on information about her ex-fiance Alexander ‘Sandy’ McKellar who was jailed last week for killing Tony and burying his body.The Sunday Mail can reveal he is one of at least five officers accused of data breaches or leaking information now being probed by police watchdog the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner (PIRC), after a request by Crown Office prosecutors- eight of which are being considered criminal.Caroline said: “He shouldn’t have known my name and I don’t know how he would have known unless he was told it or found out because he is a police officer.
