Police are investigating after a man was injured in a New Year's Eve attack in Oldham. Officers were called to Market Street in Shaw at around 9:50pm on December 31 following reports of a disturbance.

No arrests have been made, but police said enquiries are ongoing. In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: “At around 9:50pm on 31 December 2023, police responded to reports of a disturbance on Market Street in Shaw, Oldham.
