Patrick Swayze's widow Lisa Niemi Swayze opened up about carrying on the late actor's memory 14 years after his death. The "Ghost" star died at the age of 57 in September 2009 after battling pancreatic cancer for less than two years.

In a Friday interview on "Today," Lisa, 66, shared that she still feels he is with her in spirit. "His voice is in my head," the "Worth Fighting For" author said. "He comments on what I’m doing.

When I need a bolstering up or something’s going on, I can ask him in my head, and I hear exactly what he’s saying, which is generally, ‘Come on, girl, get real.'" She continued, "Just because somebody’s gone doesn’t end your relationship with them.

We spent 34 years together, and that’s always going to be a part of my life and who I am." Lisa met Swayze at the age of 14 when they were both aspiring dancers. The two went on to tie the knot in June 1975 when she was 19 and he was 23.
