Patrick J. Adams, Alyvia Alyn Lind & Patrick Gallagher Among Five Cast In ‘Wayward’ Netflix Limited Series
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Five more actors have joined the cast of the upcoming Netflix limited series Wayward (fka Tall Pines) led by Mae Martin, the series’ creator, executive producer and co-showrunner. Sydney Topliffe (Davey & Jonesie’s Locker, Doin’ It) and Alyvia Alyn Lind (Chucky, Daybreak) have been tapped as series regulars and Patrick J.
Adams (Suits, The Right Stuff), Patrick Gallagher (Big Sky, Joe Pickett) and Josh Close (American Solitaire, Killers Of The Flower Moon) as recurring guest stars on the show, one of the first commissions for Netflix Canada.
In addition to Martin, the quintet join previously cast series regulars Sarah Gadon and and Brandon Jay McLaren. The eight-episode Wayward is a thriller set in a bucolic but sinister town that explores the insidious underbelly of the “troubled teen industry” and the eternal struggle between one generation and the next.
Topliffe and Lind are playing best friends Abbie and Leila; Adams plays a high school counselor, I hear. Martin serves as co-showrunner with Ryan Scott, who also is an executive producer.
