Passenger falls ill on Ryanair flight as plane met by emergency services in Edinburgh

A passenger who took unwell on a flight from Spain to Scotland was helped by a nurse after quick-thinking Ryanair staff rushed to their aid.

The medic was able to assist after the traveller had two medical emergencies and the emergency services were called to meet the aircraft as it touched down on the tarmac at Edinburgh Airport.The plane had returned to Scotland from the island of Gran Canaria on Friday, August 4, and the passenger twice took unwell while on board.As reported by Edinburgh Live, one customer said: "On a flight home from Gran Canaria to Edinburgh Airport a passenger had two medical emergencies."The flight crew were amazing and were instantly on hand to help.

They also managed to find a nurse who was on board. When we landed emergency services were there at the gate to assist."A spokesperson for Ryanair said: "A passenger onboard this flight FR6697 (4 Aug) between Las Palmas and Edinburgh became ill as the flight was on its final descent into Edinburgh airport."Cabin crew called ahead for medical assistance and the passenger was met by medics upon arrival."
