Parents claim Lanarkshire college management putting profit before children as nursery closures confirmed

Parents of children attending two nurseries attached to a Lanarkshire college will be forced to find places for them elsewhere at the beginning of the new year, after it was confirmed they will close.New College Lanarkshire (NCL) has confirmed its plans to close its early years centres at its campuses in Coatbridge and Cumbernauld in December 2023.The college initially decided to shut the nurseries in June this year would close in the middle of the year, but following a backlash about the timing bosses ultimately agreed an extension until the end of the year.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
