Over 100 Wishaw kids get new bikes and helmets thanks to cycling initiative

Social enterprise company Socialtrack have teamed up with Cycling Scotland and the Scottish Government to gain approximately £50,000 in funding through The Access to Bikes Fund.The scheme provides funding and support to organisations requesting bikes, including adaptive bikes, for young people meeting the eligibility criteria.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

They are just over the moon.“We obviously have the pump track at Wishawhill Wood and a few of them have said they would like to come down to that but it’s mainly to get them out and get active.”Cycling Scotland is working with partner organisations to increase
