The 36-year-old tennis player won his 23rd Grand Slam title on Sunday (June 11) with a 7-6 (1), 6-3, 7-5 victory over Casper Ruud in the French Open final, breaking a tie with rival Rafael Nadal for the most major singles trophies in the history of men’s tennis, via CBS.
With his 23rd Grand Slam Title – the most ever won by a man – he becomes the only man to win career slam three times, the Oldest Roland Garros Singles Champion, and returns to world No.
1, via The Tennis Letter. He’s now the first man to win each Grand Slam tournament title at least three times, winning the Australian Open 10 times, the Roland Garros three times, Wimbledon seven times and the US Open three times, via US Open Tennis.
