recently how “it seems entirely logical that he should move to a smaller property.”He should move now that his daughters Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice both have their own homes, and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson has reportedly bought an abode in London. “He seems determined to stay put [in the lodge],” Bond added.“Now, it seems, he has been told by his big brother that he can stay, but he has to foot the bills,” she said.The Duke of York had a talk with his brother, King Charles, over the summer at their residence in Balmoral Castle over the status of the Royal Lodge.
Charles wanted Andrew to move into Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s smaller former home, despite the former Navy man living at the lodge since 2004.Andrew had been given a “stay of execution” by the monarch, 74, that said that if he pays for the repairs for the 30-room mansion, then he would be allowed to remain.
He allegedly already paid more than 200,000 pounds for roof repairs earlier this year.The decision was made after Andrew was stripped of his royal and military honors by his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, following his alleged involvement with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
