dailyrecord.co.ukNorth Lanarkshire Council has cut back on its funding for voluntary organisations following a review. A shakeup of the system by which grant applications are assessed was voted through at a full council meeting which also saw the annual budget set.
One change will be to reduce the maximum grant which can be applied for from £50,000 to £10,000.Councillors voted on a report which noted that since the grants system was been in place over a decade ago, the council has faced continual financial challenges, reducing the amount of grant finding available while the number of applications grows constantly.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
