North Lanarkshire Council confirms plans to update two community football pitches

North Lanarkshire Council has published details of plans to update two community football pitches, by replacing them with new artificial playing surfaces.

Almost identical planning applications on the council website describe intentions to replace existing pitches at Gray Street in Cleland and in the village of Harthill.

Both applications state that the existing pitches would be replaced with new artificial grass, with lighting, fencing, drainage and access paths also to be constructed.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
