The Israeli spent nine years in the Scottish Premiership but took to Instagram to take aim at the Parkhead support after the Green Brigade held up banners and flags saying ‘Free Palestine’ with a second saying ‘Victory To The Resistance!!’.
During the display, the Celtic ultras were surrounded by Palestinian flags which sparked a furious social media post from Bitton as fighting escalates in the Middle East.
Palestinian group Hamas launched an attack on Israel which killed at least 40. And in retaliation, Gaza say at least 198 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli air attacks.
A section of the Celtic support have consistently shown their support to the Palestinian cause with the midfielder responding "shame on you" to the Green Brigade display while claiming the Parkhead fans had shown support for a "terror organisation."His first post was met with fury from Hoops fans, with Bitton initially attempting to calm the online tensions.
