After initially receiving applause as she was announced, Kim, 43, started her first joke, but was met with very loud boos, which caused her to pause.
In a new interview, Nikki revealed why Kim was booed and if it had anything to do with Taylor Swift. Keep reading to find out more…While appear on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Nikki said that after the Roast, she “ran into someone” that’s a “wild guy who’s a comedian” with a “reputation for just, like, starting s–t.” “Apparently, he started the boo as just, like, a joke,” Nikki said. “He just had too many drinks or something, and he’s not affiliated with Swifties or anything [and] just felt like saying a boo into the air, and apparently everyone was so riled up.” Nikki also pointed out the audience at the Roast were mostly “sports fans” who may not keep up with Kim or her feud with Taylor, 34. “It just kinda caught wind, but it wasn’t Swiftie-meditated,” Nikki re-asserted. “I do have that on good information that it was not based on that.
Because I was like, this doesn’t feel like a huge Swiftie crowd, but it didn’t feel like that was the vibe in the room.” Nikki also theorized that the people that booed Kim were “sports fans wanting to have some sort of release to boo.” “The guy started it started it as a joke, and it caught on too much, but I was so glad to learn it was not Swiftie-meditated,” Nikki added.
