Netflix kills ad-free option for new American subscribers

For new subscribers, an entry-level Netflix subscription, or “Standard with ads,” will be offered for $6.99 per month.But if you would rather watch “Bridgerton” without hearing about 75 side effects in a prescription drug commercial, the “Standard” plan has a new rate of $15.49/month.And if you’re on the Basic plan already and you’re just waiting to hear how this will affect you — never fear.
