Selome Hailu NBC has given a five-episode back order to the upcoming hospital mockumentary “St. Denis Medical,” bringing its first season to a total of 18 episodes.
Per the official logline, the single-cam comedy series is “about an underfunded, understaffed Oregon hospital where the dedicated doctors and nurses try their best to treat patients while maintaining their own sanity.” The ensemble cast includes Wendi McClendon-Covey as St.
Denis’ executive director Joyce, David Alan Grier as emergency doctor Ron, Allison Tolman as supervising nurse Alex, Josh Lawson as trauma surgeon Bruce, Mekki Leeper as new nurse Matt, Kahyun Kim as emergency nurse Serena and Kaliko Kauahi as veteran nurse Val. “St.
Denis Medical” is created by Justin Spitzer and Eric Ledgin. Both serve as executive producers alongside Simon Heuer. Ruben Fleischer directed and executive produced the pilot.
