Like most children, Sienna Smith can’t wait for Christmas. But there’s something she wants even more than a visit from Santa – a new liver.

Despite being 10-year-old, Sienna has suffered liver failure twice and is currently in hospital waiting for a life-saving transplant.

Sienna, from Oldham, first began experiencing symptoms back in 2017 when her family noticed her skin had turned yellow after picking her up from school. Sienna was kept in hospital overnight for observation but her health continued to deteriorate. Unable to pinpoint what was making her so unwell, the youngster was transferred to a hospital in Leeds.
