A child murderer has been jailed for at least 25 years for the brutal killing of her three-year-old son. Christina Robinson, 30, subjected her own child, Dwelaniyah, to a wave of cruelty where she deliberately submerged him in scalding water as pushishment for soiling himself during toilet training, hitting him with a bamboo cain for minor disobedience, and leaving him with a fatal brain injury after shaking him at their home in Ushaw Moor, County Durham.

At the time of his death, the child had around 70 injuries. Robinson was convicted of murder and four child cruelty charges in March, despite claiming she is innocent, Chronicle Live reports. Mr Justice Garnham, in passing sentence, said that on October 19, 2022, Robinson was looking after her two sons alone as her husband was away on RAF training.

She discovered Dwelaniyah, who was going through toilet training, had soiled himself so she ran a bath of extremely hot water.
