The mum of a girl who was attacked on a bus on her way home from school has told how she fears a ban on phones will put additional pressure on "overstretched" teaching staff.Vicky Donald, 38, has welcomed new powers that give headteachers the option to ban the devices from classrooms if deemed necessary to do so.
However, the mum-of-four argues that staff will struggle to reinforce the measures as teachers already face trying to manage violence and disorder.Vicky's own daughter, Kaylynn, 13, was battered by a group of bullies as she travelled home from class at Bell Baxter High School in Ladybank, Fife, on October 25, 2022.
