Much-loved TV child star dead at 46 after being discovered in his car

Child TV star Benji Gregory has tragically passed away at the age of 46 after he was found dead in his car.The actor was best known for playing Brian Tanner on the hit sitcom ALF during the 80s.

His sister, Rebecca, broke the heartbreaking news that her brother was discovered lifeless in a car park in Peoria, Arizona, about a month ago on 13 June.The location, as reported by TMZ, was the parking lot of a Chase Bank.

In a touching statement, the heartbroken family of cherished actor Benji said they are "grieving a great loss" whilst expressing their thanks for the "appreciates everyone's thoughts and kind words" from many.To commemorate Benji's memory, they've suggested that those looking to pay tribute could make a donation to either The Actors Equity Foundation or the ASPCA.

While we're still waiting for an official statement from The Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office, early reports suggest that the tragic event took place on the confirmed date of 13 June.
