Miriam Margolyes wasted no time making her opinions of one Netflix reality star clear in the opening minutes of her new BBC travel show, Miriam Margolyes: A New Australian Adventure. On tonight's episode (August 9) which aired at 9pm on BBC Two, the 83-year-old star headed to Byron Bay, investigating how the area had been taken over by celebrities and influencers.Among those she met on her travels was star of Netflix reality show Byron Baes, Jade Kevin Foster.

Within the first 10 minutes of the show airing, the pair got off to a tense start. As Jade approached Miriam, he asked whether she liked his outfit. "Hi gorg, welcome to Byron doll," he started. "Do you like my outfit?".Miriam, perched on a bench wearing a sunhat swiftly replied: "Not much," prompting an awkward silence to erupt between the pair.Breaking it, Miriam quizzed Jade about his role in establishing Byron as a celeb and influencer hotspot. "You have been described to me as an influencer," she said. "What the f*** is that?".Jade broke into laughter, seemingly taken aback at the question.

Miriam continued: "How can you influence people? What with? With this get up?", she said, referring back to his outfit."This is very Byron fashion as well," Jade interjected, as he estimated his combined social media follower count at a cool 1.4 million.

Warming up to Jade, Miriam replied: "That's really wonderful. When we say following, they literally follow what you do and say?". "Correct," said Jade, as Miriam enquired about how much being an influencer could earn somebody. "Well I love money," she joked. "But I don't want it to be all there is."
