Giovanni Pernice has revealed that he feels a 'great responsibility' for his family as he admits he's worried his career will end "at some point", amid reports that he is in 'crunch talks' over his future on TV.
The Strictly Come Dancing star's reputation has been rocked after Amanda Abbington, 52, claimed she suffered from PTSD following her short stint on the show alongside the dancer last year. There have also been reports that Ranvir Singh and Laura Whitmore - who were also partnered with Giovanni during the competition- had joined the Sherlock star for an "emotional summit" and could be making a joint complaint to the BBC.
Opening up about his family in Sicily, Giovanni, 33, told best pal Anton Du Beke on the latest episode of their Adventures In Spain series that he was worried for the future. The dancer, who left his home town aged 14 to move to to the north of the country to pursue his career, said: "Obviously there is a fear that everything is going to finish at some point.
I support me, I support my family back in Sicily financially. So obviously there is a fear that if I stop, everyone else stops because of me." There's chatter that Giovanni is waiting on tenterhooks about his future on Strictly Come Dancing because of the ongoing drama with Amanda.
