dailyrecord.co.ukThe real reason for Meghan Markle missing King Charles’ Coronation has finally been revealed. Prince Harry attended the event in May on his own after previously announcing that Meghan was staying at home in California with kids Archie, 4, and two-year-old Lilibet.
It came after weeks of uncertainty over whether or not the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would be in attendance. Sources close to the royals have said the duke had weeks of discussions with Buckingham Palace officials about his intention to travel to the UK for the crowning.
The Mirror reports Harry had concerns about his security while in the country, and also was worried about the reception he would receive from his relatives.
Sources also claimed that it was not a surprise that the duchess didn’t attend as she hadn’t been present on Harry’s book tour ahead of the release of tell-all biography Spare, and also a belief that she was upset at Archie and Lilibet being excluded from the official Coronation procession.
