Several arrests have been made in connection with the death of Friends star Matthew Perry. It's understood that those apprehended include a "doctor and dealers", as the probe continues almost a year after he was found dead in his LA home's hot tub.Allegedly, police uncovered "text messages", which showed exchanges between Perry and one of the individuals now in custody.
TMZ has been told by sources within the police that "at least one doctor and several drug dealers" were taken into custody for their roles in "helping get and deliver" the narcotics to Perry. The late actor's text messages are said to have detailed discussions about the type of drug and its price.
In December, an autopsy officially stated Perry's cause of death as drug-related.Additional factors contributing to his death included drowning, coronary artery disease, and the presence of buprenorphine.
The substance in his system caused cardiovascular overstimulation and respiratory depression, leading to a 911 call from his live-in assistant who found him lifeless in the hot tub of his pool.
