Marvel Shows Shift Premiere Dates Due To Strikes & New Disney+ Strategy
deadline.comSimilar to how Disney changed up the feature release schedule due to the strikes, it’s doing the same with Marvel series. However, it’s a little more than that as the Kevin Feige-run studio is looking to make the best product possible after fans thumbed their noses at various projects including Secret Invasion, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Eternals to name a few.
In addition, Disney+ is making less product, so the studio is spacing out its event programming. Loki Season 2 is the only series sticking to its premiere date of October 6.
The second season had the biggest debut for a trailer of any Disney+ series, with Season 1 the most watched Marvel series on Disney+.
The second season of animated series What If…? will debut over the holidays; it had been expected to drop earlier this year.
