Martin Lewis says 'this is my fault' as SLC 'inundated' following advice

Martin Lewis has put his hands in the air and admitted that 'inundated' phone lines for Student Loans Company (SLC) may heve been "my fault".

Posting on social media, the money-saving expert replied to a post from another user who said they've been on hold with SLC for '50 mins'.

Replying to the post, he said: "If you're calling Student loans company - worth knowing this, you can leave it a few days - I suspect this is my fault!!!" It comes after Mr Lewis warned his followers on social media that they may be owed some cash back on their student loans due to being overcharged.

He highlighted that people could potentially earn thousands of pounds back just by double-checking their student loan payments.
