Susanna Reid

Susanna Victoria Reid (born 10 December 1970) is an English television presenter and journalist. Reid was a co-presenter of BBC Breakfast from 2003 until 2014, along with Bill Turnbull and Charlie Stayt.

She has been a co-anchor of Good Morning Britain since 2014, and currently presents the programme alongside Piers Morgan and Ben Shephard.

She finished as a runner-up on the eleventh series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2013. She also presented Sunday Morning Live on BBC and Save Money: Good Food on ITV.

Martin Lewis shared an emotional message on Good Morning Britain today as he presented the ITV show with Susanna Reid. The finance journalist, who is also known as the Money Saving Expert, admitted that he got a bit teary last night after he received a message from a fan who followed his advice, writes The Mirror.On today's programme, Martin fronted the "Wallet Wednesday" segment which sees him share his top tips for cash-strapped viewers.However, just minutes in, Martin asked co-host Susanna Reid if he could "do an aside" after noting "Wallet Wednesday" always falls on the day new inflation figures are released.He said: "I'll be honest, I had some tears in my eyes last night - I've had a stressful couple of weeks and I got a lovely message..."Susanna asked: "Are you the cost of living crisis hero in action?"Martin replied: "No, no - this is something else.

Someone says they regularly watch my show and [told me] 'In 2015, I was sadly and suddenly widowed at the age of 38. I was unable to claim widowed parents allowance due to not actually being married to my long-term partner and received little help from the government to then bring up our three children."Martin explained that the fan, who he didn't name, got in touch with him in May for information about a change in the law that now allows claims from unmarried parents.

Martin's Money Saving Expert site notes it's worth applying to have applications back dated.In the letter, the fan said: "Today I received a letter from DWP, I have been awarded £34,000 in back dated money and that's in my account already.
