Everton could be forced to sell Amadou Onana in January in a bid to ease their financial issues, according to reports. Sean Dyche's side were handed a 10-point deduction last week after being found guilty of breaking the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules.

A number of recently relegated clubs, including Leeds, Leicester and Burnley, could look to sue them for up to £300m as a result of lost earnings.

Manchester United have been linked with Onana in the past and reports over the summer suggested contact has been made with the midfielder's representatives.

And now talkSPORT reports that due to their ongoing money struggles, the Toffees may have little option but to cash in.
