It's hard to believe it, but we're now just two weeks away from the launch of the Manchester Christmas Markets. With the countdown on, the railings have gone up in Piccadilly Gardens this week and the wooden huts are being erected in preparation for the huge annual Christmas event.
And the good news for revellers is that this year we will get seven full weekends of the festive markets instead of six, due to the way the dates fall in 2024.
The ski chalet-style huts will be taking over nine different zones across Manchester city centre. As previously reported, Albert Square will not be ready to be back in use this year despite hopes it would host the big festive return in 2024. Ahead of the launch on Friday, November 8, railings have gone up around the gardens, while a walkway has been laid down and the first set of huts put into position.
