A man has tragically died after being injured during an accident on a docked ship in Aberdeen.Emergency services were called to Dunottar Quay in Aberdeen South Harbour at around 3.40pm on Saturday after the alarm was raised.The man, who has not yet been identified, was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
Police Scotland have reported the incident to The Health and Safety Executive. Enquiries into the circumstances of the accident remain ongoing, the force told Aberdeen Live.A statement from Police Scotland added: “Around 3.40 pm on Saturday, 22 July 2023, police were called to Dunottar Quay, Aberdeen South Harbour, in Aberdeen after a report that a man had been seriously injured whilst working on a ship docked at the site."Emergency services attended but the man died at the scene.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
