Man dead and five injured in horror crash between Tesla and double-decker bus
dailyrecord.co.ukA tragic incident occurred near York when a man lost his life and five others sustained injuries in a collision involving a Tesla and a double decker bus.The emergency services were swiftly on the scene after the white Tesla Model 3 car and the bus collided on B1224 Wetherby Road, close to Rufforth, at about 9.20am on Saturday.
The response included two air ambulances, three ambulance vehicles, a Hazardous Area Response Team, and North Yorkshire Police.Tragically, a 31-year-old man from Newcastle, who was travelling as a passenger in the Tesla, was confirmed dead at the location.
His family has been notified and is being supported by police officers.Four other passengers from the Tesla and the bus driver were hospitalised.
The Tesla's driver, a 32 year old man from Teesside, has been left with serious injuries. Meanwhile, three more passengers in the Tesla and the bus driver received treatment for minor injuries at the hospital, reports the Mirror.
