A sizzling heatwave might be on the horizon for the UK later this month, despite summer bringing Brits a mixed bag of sunshine and downpours so far.

Recently, temperatures have hovered in the comfortable high teens to low twenties Celsius, but weather maps hint at a potential rise as we head towards the end of July, thanks to a European 'heat bomb.' One forecast predicts that by 6pm on July 25, London could see highs of 27C, while Norwich might bask in 25C, Newcastle and Manchester could enjoy 24C, and Cardiff is also expected to hit 24C.

Plymouth is looking at a cooler 20C, with Glasgow warming up to 22C and Edinburgh sitting at a pleasant 21C, as per WX Charts.

Over in Northern Ireland, 22C is on the cards, though coastal areas may experience slightly cooler breezes. The following day, July 26, might see a slight dip in the heat, but temperatures are still set to stay in the low to mid-twenties Celsius range, reports the Express.
