Alan Shearer has called out his fellow BBC pundits after their excitement following England's performance against Switzerland.Gary Lineker, Rio Ferdinand and Micah Richards were part of the BBC team which analysed the game as Gareth Southgate's side won on penalties to make it through to the semi-finals of Euro 2024.

Although Breel Embolo put Switzerland ahead in the 75th minute, Bukayo Saka equalised for England just five minutes later. After extra-time, England eventually managed to prevail on spot-kicks despite another lacklustre display. However, the excitable English punditry panel didn't see it that way and were quick to talk up the teams credentials as they prepare for the sem-final showdown with the Netherlands on Wednesday.

But going into the first semi-final between France and Spain - Newcastle United legend Shearer wasn't willing to let his fellow pundits off the hook.Asked for his reflections on the performance against Switzerland by Lineker, Shearer was quick to clap back at his fellow pundits after their comments during the clash.
