Man 'covered in blood' found looking for help in Cambuslang shop on Boxing Day

Police raced to a shop in Lanarkshire yesterday morning after a man was reportedly found 'covered in blood' on Boxing Day.At around 11am yesterday, residents in Cambuslang reported seeing an extensive emergency services presence on Hamilton Road.One eyewitness said they saw five police cars, an ambulance and an ambulance car with a critical care doctor on the street.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

A source told Glasgow Live : "We were out with our dog when we noticed four or five police cars, an ambulance and an ambulance car with a critical care doctor."We could see numerous police cars parked in surround streets as well as what appeared to be CID officers and uniformed officers going from business to business."Shortly after, the medical vehicles went away with blue lights, a bystander told me someone was covered with blood."A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.20am on Tuesday, 26 December 2023, police were called to a convenience store in Hamilton Road, Cambuslang where an injured man had sought assistance."Enquiries are continuing into the incident." *Don't miss the latest headlines from around Lanarkshire.
